Sprint Cars Return to Utica-Rome Speedway this Friday, June 7
VERNON, NY – Sprint Cars return to the Home of Heroes this Friday, June 7.
For the first time in 2024, the lightning-fast A-Verdi Storage Containers CRSA Sprint Cars take on Utica-Rome Speedway in addition to a full program of live and local stock car racing.
The 3 Bastards Brewing Modifieds, Taylor’s Trailers Crate 602 Sportsman, Next Generation GraphiX Pro Stocks, Montgomery County Office of the Aging Limited Sportsman and Fonda Fair Four Cylinders continue the 2024 championship battles at the Route 5 Venue.
Clinton Tractor, Ferris Mowers and Wilcox Construction LLC present Friday’s action.
CRSA Sprint Cars are led to Utica-Rome by Hannibal, N.Y.’s Jordan Hutton. Quebec’s Tomy Moreau, Kyle Pierce (Spencer, N.Y.), Dalton Herrick (McDonough, N.Y.) and Jeff Trombley (Altamont, N.Y.) complete the front five.
The CRSA event at Utica-Rome serves as Round No. 2 of the I-90 Pit Stop Challenge.
Last Friday night, Pennsylvania’s Alex Yankowski broke through for a 3 Bastards Brewing Modified victory, his first since 2022. Mike Richmond of Vernon was a first-time Taylor’s Trailers Crate 602 Sportsman winner. Other drivers receiving Sunoco Race Fuels checkered flags were A.J. Walters with a last-lap pass (Next Generation GraphiX Pro Stock), Josh Coonradt (Fastline Performance Limited Sportsman), Jacob Kimball (Four Cylinder Dual Cam) and Wayne Russell Jr. (Four Cylinder Single Cam).
On the inner oval, Brett Putnam (Allstar Slingshot) and Preston Trautschold (Junior Slingshot).
Adult grandstand admission is $20. Seniors (ages 65 and over) pay $18. Kids 11 and under are FREE.
Pit admission is $40 (Non-Members), $35 (Members), $10 Kids (ages 6-12), $2 Children (ages 5 and under).
The event will be broadcast live on FloRacing (www.floracing.tv).
