Sprint Cars Return to Utica-Rome Speedway Friday, June 9
VERNON, NY – Sprint Cars return!
This Friday night, June 9, Utica-Rome Speedway returns to action with CRSA Sprint Cars invading the half-mile Home of Heroes on A-Verdi Storage Containers Night plus a complete program of NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series competition.
Utica-Rome returns to action after rain in the area forced the postponement of the June 2 event.
The CRSA Sprint Car contingent will take part in Race No. 3 of the “I-90 Pit Stop Challenge Series” program.
Hannibal, N.Y.’s Jordan Hutton is the leader in both the overall point standings and the “I-90 Pit Stop Challenge Series” entering Friday’s event.
Also on the card Friday night: 3 Bastards Brewing Modifieds, Worthington Industries Crate 602 Sportsman, Below Zero Ice Cream Pro Stocks, Fastline Performance Limited Sportsman and Fonda Fair Four Cylinders.
Current point leaders include Matt Sheppard (Modified), Payton Talbot (Crate 602 Sportsman), Bret Belden (Pro Stock), Connor Prokop (Limited Sportsman), Wayne Russell Jr. (Four Cylinder Dual Cam) and Rudy King Jr. (Four Cylinder Single Cam).
Gates open at 5 p.m., with hot laps at 6:45 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $18 for Adults, $16 for Seniors (ages 65 and up), with Kids 11 and under admitted FREE. Pit admission is $40 (ages 13 and up), $35 (NASCAR or Utica-Rome Members), $10 Kids (ages 6-12) and $2 for Children ages 5 and under.
The event – and all Utica-Rome 2023 races – will be broadcast live on FloRacing (www.floracing.tv) as part of the $150 annual subscription.
