Double the Pleasure: Modified Twin 20s this Friday Night at Utica-Rome
VERNON, NY – Double the pleasure.
This Friday night, May 26, the 3 Bastards Brewing Modifieds battle not once – but twice – in twin 20-lap features paying $1,500 each to the winner on Moteloc LLC Night at Utica-Rome Speedway.
Track points and valuable NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series points are on the line for Modified competitors.
Last year, the twin 20-lap program saw Justin Wright pick up his first-ever Modified win at the Home of Heroes in the first event and track champion Matt Sheppard won the second.
The first 20-lap event will be lined up by traditional handicapping. After the first 20, the winner will pick an invert of four, six or eight to determine the starting lineup for the final 20.
A complete program of Worthington Industries Crate 602 Sportsman, Next Generation GraphiX Pro Stocks, Fastline Performance Limited Sportsman, and Fonda Fair Four Cylinders will join the Modifieds.
Gates open at 5 p.m., with hot laps at 6:45 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $18. Seniors (ages 65 and up) pay $16. Kids 11 and under are FREE.
Pit admission is $40 (ages 13 and up), $35 (NASCAR or Utica-Rome members), $10 for Kids (ages 6-12) and $2 for Children ages 5 and under.
Friday’s event – and all Utica-Rome 2023 races – will be broadcast live on FloRacing (www.floracing.tv) as part of the $150 annual subscription.
