Out with a Bang: $63,175 Total Payout Set for ‘Modern Day Outlaw’ Tuesday, October 5 Utica-Rome Finale
VERNON, NY – Out with a bang!
The 2021 season has shown a remarkable resurrection of Utica-Rome Speedway, with a new race night (Friday), large crowds, rising car counts and a tacky, racy surface that drew praise from competitors and fans alike.
On Tuesday, October 5, the half-mile oval will host its season finale and will go out in style with purse structures totaling $63,175 for the three divisions competing.
The big-block/small-block Sunoco Modifieds, outfitted with sail panels, will battle for 50 laps in the ‘Modern Day Outlaw 50’ offering $10,000 to win from a robust pay structure through the field totaling $38,080 for 26 starters.
Modified racers will compete for the following payout: 1. $10,000; 2. $5,000; 3. $4,000; 4. $2,500; 5. $2,000; 6. $1,400; 7. $1,300; 8. $1,200; 9. $1,100; 10. $1,000; 11. $750; 12. $650; 13. $550; 14. $540; 15. $530; 16. $530; 17. $520; 18. $150; 19-26. $500.
Making its return to Utica-Rome Speedway as part of this event is the Cole Cup for 360 Sprint Cars, sanctioned for the first time by the Patriot Sprint Tour (PST). This 30-lap event will offer $5,000 to the winner, from a pay structure of $18,900.
360 Sprint Car drivers will race for the following payout: 1. $5,000; 2. $2,750; 3. $1,250; 4. $800; 5. $750; 6. $700; 7. $650; 8. $625; 9. $600; 10. $575; 11. $550; 12. $525; 13. $500; 14. $450; 15. $400; 16. $350; 17. $325; 18.-24. $300.
Worthington Industries Crate 602 Sportsman complete the tripleheader program racing a 25-lap main event for $1,500 to win from a total payout of $6,195.
The complete Crate 602 Sportsman payout is as follows: 1. $1,500; 2. $750; 3. $500; 4. $400; 5. $300; 6. $250; 7. $200; 8. $175; 9. $165; 10. $160; 11. $150; 12. $140; 13. $130; 14.-24. $125.
Gates open at 4 p.m. on Oct. 5. The drivers’ meeting takes place at 5:45 p.m., with hot laps at 6:15 p.m. and racing at 7:15 p.m.
General admission is $25 for Adults, $23 for Seniors (ages 65 and above) and Kids 11 and under are FREE.
Pit admission is $40 for Non-Members and $35 for Utica-Rome members. Kids (ages 6-12) pay $10 and Children 5 and under pay $2.
