VERNON, NY – Sprint Car fans: welcome back.
For the first time in 2021, Utica-Rome Speedway welcomes the winged warriors of the CRSA Sprint Car division on A-Verdi Storage Containers night this Friday, June 25.
This Friday marks the first of two CRSA Sprint Car appearances at the ‘Home of Heroes’ this season, with the second coming on Aug. 20 and their first visit to the speedway since 2017. The Patriot Sprint Tour 360 Sprint Cars will also be in action on Sunday, Sept. 5.
The CRSA Sprint Cars join the Sunoco Modifieds headlining the night, as the Modifieds will race for an increased $3,500-to-win purse after last Friday’s rained-out program. The Modifieds will take the green for the 900th time in the history of the speedway.
Along with the Modifieds and Sprint Cars, the Worthington Industries Crate 602 Sportsman, Next Generation Graphix Pro Stocks, Fastline Performance Limited Sportsman, and Cool Stuff Antiques Four Cylinders will all be in action.
Matt Sheppard currently sits atop the Sunoco Modified points standings, maintaining an 18-point advantage over Sheffield, Mass., driver Andy Bachetti.
