Federated Auto Parts, Fisher Auto Parts and VP Racing Fuels Present Racing Action at Utica-Rome Speedway on May 5 with Mechanic Races and VP Summer Shootout DIRTcar Sportsman Series
VERNON, NY – Mechanic’s races are back at Utica-Rome Speedway on Sunday, May 5 as Federated Auto Parts, Fisher Auto Parts and VP Racing Fuels presents the racing action.
Also on the night’s racing card is the DirtTrackDigest.com DIRTcar 358-Modifieds, the rained out VP Racing Fuels Summer Shootout Series for the Broedel Fuel Group DIRTcar Sportsman, Ted Body Shop DIRTcar Pro Stocks and the Rookie Sportsman.
The mechanic racing will cap off the night’s program. Each division will be offered the chance to hit to the speedway to see who can come out on top as the fastest mechanic. There will be a prize for each division winner.
As part of the fun, the speedway is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with beer specials throughout the evening.
Race fans are encouraged to visit any one of the local Federated Auto Parts or Fisher Auto Parts stories to purchase their auto parts while also taking advantage of a special $10 admission ticket for entrance into the grandstands at the Utica-Rome Speedway.

Pit gates open at 3:30pm while spectator gates swinging open at 4pm with the heat races beginning promptly at 6pm for opening night. Adult general admission for the opener is set at $13 with seniors/military members/students 17-18 just $10 while kids 16 and under are free. Pit admission for the night is $27 for DIRTcar members and $30 for non-members.
