RAIN HALTS JUNE 25 PROGRAM AT UTICA-ROME SPEEDWAY
VERNON, NY- Rain showers swept through the Vernon area just as the gates were opening at Utica-Rome Speedway, cancelling the action scheduled for Sunday June 25. On the schedule was double features for the Gates-Cole Auto Insurance Modifieds plus the $1,000 to win Mike Martin Memorial for the Broedel Energy Sportsman. The Pro Stocks and Novice Sportsman were also scheduled.
The rained-out Gates-Cole Auto Insurance Modified feature from June 18 will now be made up on July 16, setting up a big double header for fans on the normal weekly price of $13. The Mike Martin Memorial $1,000 to win Broedel Energy Sportsman race will also be made up on July to go along with a weekly show of Pro Stocks and Novice Sportsman.
Coming up this Sunday, July 2, Clinton Tractor will present a huge show that will include the Super DIRTcar Big Block Modified Series plus the Central New York Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprint Speedweek finale. The Broedel Energy Sportsman will also see action on this exciting night of short track racing excitement.
