Utica-Rome Speedway Joins with DirtTrackDigest.com and Thomas Video Productions in Launch of DTD TV
BREWERTON, NY – It’s been months in the making, but it’s time for another element of racing action to come to DirtTrackDigest.com. The Northeast leader in online in racing news is taking coverage to the next level as they partner with Thomas Video Productions as well as Utica-Rome Speedway to offer weekly pay-per-view racing on an all new site DirtTrackDigest.Tv.
Utica-Rome Speedway owners Bill and Kim Shea offered live coverage in 2016 through their agreement with NASCAR. With the changes made during the off-season, it was decided to continue live coverage of events while opening it up to people throughout the country.
“Last year we had FansChoice.tv which offered fans outside of our area a chance to watch the racing at Utica-Rome,” stated Utica-Rome owner Bill Shea. “This year with the pay-per-view we can open up the coverage to everyone, not just those outside of New York. We know Sunday nights are tough for people traveling a long distance so hopefully they’ll be able to take advantage of this.”
Thomas Video Productions plans to offer a weekly package with a single camera view. When possible, premium events will offer fans multiple camera angles. This allows fans to watch at home on their flat screen televisions in the comfort of their living rooms if they can’t make it to the speedway.
“We’ve done pay-per-view at Oswego Speedway for several years,” stated Matt Thomas. “We’ve wanted to do more and this deal offers us that opportunity. Partnering with DTD and Utica-Rome works out great as they’ll be able to market the shows and the track while we’ll be able to focus on handling the broadcast.”
For Dirt Track Digest, the decision was easy to launch DTD TV at Utica-Rome Speedway. The Shea’s have been an integral part of the formation of the new endeavor.
“This partnership made sense on multiple levels,” said DTD co-owner Mike Mallett. “Utica-Rome is one of the premier tracks in the country and to launch this there is an amazing opportunity. Thomas Video Productions is known for being one of the best when it comes to capturing racing action. I’ve worked with them at several different tracks in the Northeast and we’ve always had a great relationship. I’m excited to see where this can go.”
The first event slated for coverage is coming this Sunday night at the Utica-Rome Speedway for their season opening show which features the DIRTcar Modifieds, Sportsman and Pro Stock as well as Twin 20’s for the 360 Sprint Cars. Racing is slated for 4pm with coverage coming to life for hot laps at 3:15pm.
Fans should stay tuned to DirtTrackDigest.com in the coming weeks as more plans are revealed for the new endeavor. To order any pay-per-view events fans can visit www.dirttrackdigest.tv.
