THE RACE OF CHAMPIONS DIRT MODIFIED SERIES TO MAKE THREE STOPS AT THE UTICA-ROME SPEEDWAY IN 2016 HIGHLIGHTED BY ROC NEW YORKER 200
VERNON, NY- The Race of Champions Dirt Modified Series schedule was released this past weekend and once again the Utica-Rome Speedway will continue their strong relationship with the touring series. Three dates at the Vernon oval make up the 10 event schedule which means that Utica-Rome Speedway will play an important role in the battle for the series championship.
“We have always had a great relationship with Andrew Harpell and the RoC Series,” stated track owner Bill Shea, “and now with Joe Skotnicki at the helm we look forward to continuing that relationship. I see nothing but a positive future for the RoC Series.”
The first stop at the Utica-Rome Speedway for the series will be on Sunday, May 29 with 55 lap main event and returns again on Sunday August 21 with a 60 lap feature event. The highlight of the tour is on Saturday September 10 when the final event RoC event at Utica-Rome Speedway in 2016 will be the return of the 200 lap New Yorker. Like the asphalt RoC tour, the dirt tour will now have a signature annual event.
Full purse details and other information about upcoming events at the Utica-Rome Speedway will be released in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, the schedule is continuing to be firmed up and look for many exciting events in 2016. The season opener is planned for Sunday April 17.
