VERNON, NY- Rain showers swept through the Vernon area just as the gates were opening at Utica-Rome Speedway, cancelling the action scheduled for Sunday June 25.  On the schedule was double features for the Gates-Cole Auto Insurance Modifieds plus the $1,000 to win Mike Martin Memorial for the Broedel Energy Sportsman.
